My girlfriend and I both took the NRA Basic Pistol class with Dave back in November and thought the class was truly outstanding. We were both inexperienced shooters (I had only fired a pistol once before, and she had never shot one) and are extremely glad we took this class. The class included all the basic information you will need to know as a pistol-owner and offered the chance to shoot MANY different pistols under the supervision of three qualified experts. We literally waited months for PDT's class rather than taking one of the weekly NRA classes at the local firing range, and are glad we waited. At this point we are both looking forward to taking future classes with PDT. Dave, Stuart, and Eric were all outstanding instructors.
As evidence of the effectiveness of the class, one week after taking it, my girlfriend and I went to the local shooting range and both shot extremely well. Firing at a silhouette target at 7 yards, she hit the silhouette on all 47 of her shots, with only 3 shots landing outside the highest value area (center torso and head). I fired only 3 shots that day, two to dead center of the torso and one between the eyes, just as aimed.
