This course will teach the skills needed to use a shotgun in self-defense situations. Topics include: safety, fundamentals of firing positions, sight alignment and trigger control. Also covered are painless shooting techniques, malfunction drills, ballistics/ammo selection, choosing a platform and what modifications are appropriate. You will also explore the myths associated with the shotgun and learn the true limitations and versatility of the weapon. This one day course is suitable for a beginning to intermediate level user who wishes to optimize their practical shotgun skills. You will need 250 birdshot, 20 buck, and 10 slugs.
